The SEiSMiC project was invited to participate in the Green Week 2014 in the Side Session Multi-actor engagement for the environment: where science, policy and society meet, organized by Directorate-General for Research and Innovation. Together with 3 other projects under the Science in Society theme we discussed the ways how to involve civil society in developing research strategies and policies. It was rather encouraging that also other projects used focus groups, established platforms for exchange and generated considerable input for the H2020 Work Programme. Topicwise there are several links to these other projects (energy efficiency, waste and sustainable innovation) which we should keep an eye on and use for further exchange.
