SUMMARY:Kick-off in Urban Migration (Invitation only)
DESCRIPTION:JPI Urban Europe invites all projects funded in the Urban Migration call and their stakeholders to an online projects kick-off meeting. The meeting provides an opportunity for the project partners to meet and to share knowledge\, introduce their projects\, engage in strategic discussions and find partners for future cooperation. You can register at the bottom of this page. \nTime: Tuesday September 14\, 13.30 – 17.15 (CEST)\nTarget audience: Urban Migration projects (3 participants from each project)\, representatives from JPI Urban Europe funding agencies and other key people.\nRegistration: Please register at least three representatives as soon as possible but no later than August 20\, see bottom of this page. \nJoin the JPI Urban Europe community and receive important information! \nThe purpose of the meeting includes networking activities and strategic discussions. The aim is to provide useful information and to establish a strong community from the start. All projects are invited to give short “pitches” in a cavalcade of projects. Participants will have a chance to explore the links to ongoing projects and future cooperation in breakout sessions. \nWelcome to register three partners from each project to different breakout sessions \nBe sure to join with at least three representatives from every Urban Migration project to join the plenary and different breakout sessions. This also helps to ensure a good balance between researchers and partners outside academia at the meeting. \nProgramme\n13.30 Welcome!\n13.35 Expectations on the coming year for Urban Migration\n13.45 Intro JPI Urban Europe – projects community & knowledge hub\n13.55 Projects in the spotlight: pitching sessions\n15.05 Breakout sessions \nSession 1: Urban governance of housing issues\nSession 2: Socio-spatial integration and involvement of citizens and city administrations\n16.25 Communication and engagement activities in the coming years\n16.35 Keeping up the pace: Information on reporting and monitoring\n16.45 End of the meeting\n(16.45-17.15 Networking opportunity) \nWe encourage partners from the same project to attend different breakout sessions. \nSession: Urban governance of housing issues\nTo be able to manage migration and assist the long-term integration of migrants\, cities need to develop solid housing practices and measures. Participants will discuss the different projects’ approaches like collaborative housing\, sharing of spaces and resources\, and other innovative housing strategies and how to include city administrations and other stakeholders. \nSession: Socio-spatial integration and involvement of citizens and city administrations\nSocio-spatial integration of migrants\, citizen involvement\, and appropriate management within city administrations require commitment in both migrant and host communities. Participants will learn about novel approaches in the different cities engaged in projects funded by this call and explore cooperation with the civil society and public services. \n  \nRegistration is open!
