JPI Urban Europe at the OPEN DAYS

open-daysDuring the 12th European week of Regions and Cities, taking place in Brussels on October 6th-9th, JPI Urban Europe will host a seminar at the OPEN DAYS. The OPEN DAYS event is co-organized by the European Commission’s Directorate –General for Regional and Urban Policy and the Committee of the Regions and brings together policy makers and practitioners from local, regional, national and European. This year’s slogan is ‘Growing together – Smart investment for people’. The four day long programme consists of more than 100 workshops and debates.

JPI Urban Europe will host one of eight seminars within the OPEN DAYS University. The OPEN DAYS University aims to present new research on regional and urban development. It enables academics, practitioners, EU officials and other interested participants to exchange views and test new academic concepts in the field of regional and urban policies.

The JPI Urban Europe seminar, that takes place on the 9th of October, aims to generate a deeper scientific understanding of urban complexities and at the same time to showcase the research funded by the JPI Urban Europe. The workshop provides the participants with the opportunity to further acquaint themselves with the JPI Urban Europe’s research and innovation activities and discuss research and policy challenges confronted by European cities and urban regions.
