Urban Doers Community Launch

During 2023, the DUT Partnership initiated a collaboration with 20 urban initiatives. The Urban Doers Community kick-off event in Vienna marked the beginning of a dynamic exchange of ideas, setting the stage for the impactful journey of these initiatives in 2024.

Quo Vadis, PED? – an AGORA on Reflecting the PED Narrative

Feedback from cities and other stakeholders tells us that there is a need for updating the PED narrative. In October, we invited the PED community to an AGORA Thematic Dialogue to reflect on building blocks for a better integration of the PED concept into climate-neutrality discourse and policies.

Umeå Hosts Next DUT City Panel 

14 European cities met digitally on 6 November for the DUT City Panel, discussing the DUT Call 2024 and exploring challenges related to CUE, 15mC, and PED. Next meeting: May 2024 in Umeå, Sweden, focusing on peer exchange and site visits to urban transition projects. Stay tuned!
Insights on Urban Migration in European Cities
In 2019, JPI Urban Europe published a call for projects to look at how migration affects and is affected by the life and functioning of European cities. After two years of dedicated research, the eight participating projects submitted their findings in early 2023, resulting in the most up-to-date and comprehensive examination of urban migration available.

This serves as a valuable resource for municipalities who want to understand and respond to migration in their region. Read the recently published project results catalogue to get a brief introduction of each of the projects and some of their main findings.

Together with the CityChangers team, JPI Urban Europe has released a series of quick-reference guides with concrete tools and policy recommendations. Discover the initial four articles in the series below.
