Future Cities Catapult is supporting the delivery of Innovate UK’s activities in the Sustainable Urbanisation Global Initiative (SUGI)/Food-Water-Energy Nexus Challenge.
This is a joint call, established by the Belmont Forum and the Joint Programming Initiative, Urban Europe. The call was established in order to bring together the fragmented research and expertise across the globe to find innovative, new solutions to the Food-Water-Energy Nexus challenge. The ultimate goal is to increase access to information and improve quality of life.
The call aims to develop more resilient, applied urban solutions that bring inter – and trans-disciplinary research and innovation together from across the globe, to benefit a much wider range of stakeholders. It not only gives funding but also offers access to a global network of researchers, practitioners, and experts in urban development.
