Achievements and the Way Forward
This year the Joint Programming Process (JPP) celebrates 10 years and as part of the development of the next EU Framework Programme (Horizon Europe), the role of the 10 joint programme initiatives (JPIs) is under discussion. Based on the experiences of the JPIs and their recently presented long-term visions and strategies, a conference is organised by JPI Urban Europe and the Austrian Research Promotion Agency – FFG in cooperation with all JPIs and on behalf of Austrian Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology – BMVIT and. Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research – BMBWF. The conference focuses on the initiatives role and contribution to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The conference is a means to position the JPIs as hubs for coordinating the partnership landscape in their respective areas, as well as an arena for stakeholders to share their experiences. Participants will be gathered to discuss issues such as the future role of JPIs in FP9 with regard to international policies and to reflect on the establishing of mission-oriented R&I programmes. Further, the common position of the initiatives regarding the next development phase will be presented.
