How can we drive forward the urban transformations towards sustainable and livable cities according to the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Europe and beyond?
The Joint Programming Initiative Urban Europe, launched by the European Commission in 2010, kindly invites you to be part of this international workshop and to share your valuable expertise.
The workshop will be held in Leipzig in joint cooperation with the Helmholtz-Centre for Environmental Research – UFZ. The target group of the event consists of experts from cities / municipalities, urban practitioners and urban scientists, and with this we particularly aim at critically reflecting the existing situation and to foster mutual benefits by a strong exchange between expertise and experiences. This event offers you the possibility to formulate your needs and to share your know-how and your experience with key stakeholders that are engaged in urban transformation processes. Furthermore it gives you the opportunity to introduce and further develop your own network beyond sectoral and national borders and to get familiar with the JPI Urban Europe Initiative.
The programme includes a Welcome Dinner on 24 May 2018, a Case Study Visit and a thematic Workshop on 25 May 2018.
