SUGI FWE Nexus final event (invitation only)

22 March - 23 March

Are your in a SUGI Nexus funded project or one of the funding agencies behind the call? Are you involved in other JPI Urban Europe projects, and interested in the food-water-energy nexus? Register for the SUGI FWE Nexus final event, taking place online 22- 23 March 2022! Read this page to explore the details and the instructions for preparations together with your consortium.

The Sustainable Urbanisation Global Initiative (SUGI)/Food-Water-Energy Nexus is coming to an end in 2021 and most of the 15 projects have already finalized or will do so during spring. It is time to come together for the final event!

Purpose: SUGI projects will present their most important results and together with interested parties we will take the first steps towards describing and defining the legacy of SUGI FWE Nexus. Projects will have time to deep-dive into concerns of their preference, and work together prior to the event.

For whom: SUGI projects are encouraged to send 3 – 5 representatives per project. Involved funding agencies and stakeholders from cities and business are also invited and given the opportunity to learn about results and outcomes from the projects. Partners from other Urban Europe calls with a particular interest in FWE Nexus topics are also welcome to join the event on the first day.

Registration: Open now (scroll down). Last day to sign up to present project results and co-create the event is January 17.

Preparations: Projects are welcome to co-create the event. More information has been sent out via email. Contact person: katarina.schylberg@iqs.se  or info@jpi-urbaneurope.eu

Registration form SUGI Nexus final event 22-23 March 2022

INFO: Each project is encouraged to register 3 - 5 participants. If possible, make sure participants represent a variety of stakeholders, for instance research/academia, cities, or other organisations. IMPORTANT: In this registration form you will indicate your level of participation in the event on behalf of your SUGI Nexus project (if you are in one). Make sure you have agreed with your project consortium on the level of participation from your side.
  • Please select from the following options
On the first day there will be two opportunities to present project results and outcomes, these are not mutually exclusive and you can choose to present your projects results twice.
On day two (23 March) you can join or host a breakout room where you present and have a discussion around a synthesis topic of your choice. To host/organise such a room, you will need to join in some group work prior to the event, and prepare a one-pager. Form, or join, a group of two or more projects prior to the event and shape a group discussion by developing a one-pager. The purpose of this is to respond to your wish for having time to deep-dive into a concern that is important to you and may be one of the key learnings from the FWE Nexus initiative. The SUGI implementation team will make use of this material in our synthesis of the call. This way, the one-pager will resemble a cross-project synthesis on a particular topic, of your choice. Us as organisers will help facilitate this collaboration before the event, for example via the co-working space Basecamp, so that you can easily team up and/or find one-pagers and groups in advance.
  • I hereby agree to share my name and contact details with the other participants of the event for networking reasons and therefore give my consent to publish this information on a participants list.
  • This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
