How to make urban transformation truly engaging, just and sustainability-oriented, especially in disadvantaged neighbourhoods and arrival areas? The Syncity toolbox, a main result of the project, offers new tools and hands – on methods, based on research and participatory practice in the city quarter of Cureghem in Brussels and inspired by good practice initiatives from Vienna, Austria. Results include a sustainability self-check tool, a practical step by step guide for urban projects in arrival areas, inspiration for digital participation, and new ways to work towards the co-creation of urban commons.
