This November, a symposium brought together speakers from all seven UK represented Sustainable Urbanisation Global Initiative (SUGI)/Food-Water-Energy Nexus projects, together with Bristol FWE stakeholders, at the UWE Centre Campus, Arnolfini, Bristol. The Symposium was the starting point for an ongoing engagement and networking with the UK linked projects, forming the first of a series continuing to 2021, where SUGI projects can connect and update on progress and findings.
The symposium set out to:
- explore and share information concerning the aims and objectives of the individual SUGI FWE Nexus projects
- identify the anticipated connections and synergies between the projects given the common framework of SUGI FWE research and innovation
- engage the Bristol FWE stakeholder community in the co-design and operationalisation of SUGI solutions’
