URBAN-EU-CHINA aims at making EU-China sustainable urbanisation cooperation more accessible, attractive, and rewarding for a broader set of stakeholders. For JPI Urban Europe, the project plays an important role in supporting its international outreach activities to China. Join the platform!
Annemie Wyckmans, Coordinator of the URBAN-EU-CHINA project from NTNU, Trondheim invites you to be part of the platform:
“Would you like to be engaged in the latest developments in Europe and China in sustainable urban innovation? Are you looking for the right mix of technologies, design and human engagement to create an urban environment in which it is easy to live a sustainable life? How do you develop a smart sustainable city in a continent with thousands of years of history?
Then the URBAN-EU-CHINA Innovation Platform on Sustainable Urbanisation is the place for you!
China’s wide-spread development of smart services and high speed in urbanisation experiments matched with Europe’s long-term experience in liveable, accessible and human-scaled urban design, create the perfect background to develop innovative urban solutions for tomorrow’s green society. The URBAN-EU-CHINA platform aims to identify these opportunities and boost innovative, integrated and efficient urban design, services and technologies, in cooperation with cities, industry, research and policy.
We are continuously looking for the best ideas on urban environments in which citizen well-being, quality of public space, environment and energy, health and water, transport and ICT, go hand in hand. We are now fully engaged in developing cooperation projects between European and Chinese cities, an R&I policy roadmap and Industry Workshops – to name a few.”
JPI Urban Europe strongly supports the URBAN-EU-CHINA projects and encourages its community to join forces with the project. As JPI Urban Europe’s Research and Innovation Agenda will be central document for identifying common Sino-European research priorities especially JPI Urban Europe projects will find an attractive network to exchange, collaborate and discuss.
