It emphasises the urgency that is felt to tackle the issues that accompany the world wide urbanisation, and the desire to use smart solutions that this digitalized era offers. The ERA-NET Smart Cities & Communities call has a Nordic variation: the Nordic Built Cities Challenge. It is an open, multidisciplinary, need-driven competition to develop and visualise Nordic innovative solutions for liveable, smart and sustainable cities.
