SmartGov explained in less than 5 minutes

The SmartGov coordinator Dr Gregor Eibl from Danube University Krems from Austria, along with other members of the SmartGov team, from various countries, provide short answers to questions posed by Anastasia Stacie Vanelli, what exactly is the aim of the SmartGov JPI Urban Europe project, why is “smart governance” so important for our cities, how exactly does the #SmartGov tool works, what are the benefits of public administrations using this smart governance tool for advanced decision making so far in Cyprus (Δήμος Λεμεσού) and Spain (@Ajuntament de Quart de Poblet), how “citizen participation” is taken into account, what can be recommended to someone considering using SmartGov from a legal perspective and how does SmartGov incorporate the point of view of citizens toward a particular problem.

These interviews took place in a parallel session on Smart Governance, during the First Smart and Sustainable Development Convention that was held in November 2018 at the Cyprus Institute premises, in Nicosia, Cyprus and was organized by Interfusion Services, FAR Fusion Asset Recovery, with the kind support of The Cyprus Institute and UpCycle.Club.
