SUGI Kick Off Meeting

London 11-12 June 2018

Researchers and project partners from the 15 projects funded in the JPI Urban Europe and Belmont Forum joint call “Sustainable urbanization global initiatives – food water energy nexus” met in London for a two days’ kick-off meeting beginning of June. The meeting was organized with the aim to give the projects valuable information and to encourage collaboration across projects from the start.

The meeting was held in a high spirit with plenty of interaction among all participants, sharing expectations for the coming three years, comparing different approaches to food-water-energy nexus in urban transitioning, and identifying topics for further collaboration. Hassan Virji, Chair of the SUGI Expert Committee on Innovation and Impact Delivery, explained how the monitoring activities will support projects to succeed.
