Exciting and rewarding days for the Sino-European projects in Hangzhou, China

“It was a very successful event for networking and community building among the 8 Sino-European teams!” says Berry Bonenkamp, Senior Policy Officer at Dutch Research Council (NWO), after three inspirational days of the Sino-European projects event in Hangzhou, China, from the 15th to the 17th of May.

The event gathered around 100 participants on-site and was a good opportunity for the 8 projects within the Sino-European programme to exchange, present their first results and create links between the projects.

A lot of important subjects were discussed during the two days and half, e.g. the communication of project, the impact, and the stakeholder engagement. The programme also focused on the participation of the junior researchers (PhD and post doc) to give them the opportunity to present their work and create a multicultural and multidisciplinary network.

The last morning of the event was dedicated to the visit of Alibaba with the presentation of Alibaba cloud and the Alibaba commerce ecosystem!
